Payment

Backcountry safety equipment is included in the price of every tour. You will be required to purchase a lift ticket and provide your own lunch. Please wait until the morning of the tour to purchase lift tickets so that the guide can advise you on the type of ticket required.

You may need to rent powder skiis or a powder snowboard, it can get quite deep here in Japan! Please check the gear page for a full list of recommended gear.

No, you will not need any documentation other than your ID when you come on a Japan Snow Adventures tour.

If you want to book out our guides for a customized private tour the cost is 80,000 yen. Please contact us to get the latest information on your desired trip.

Cancellations made by customers (Includes decreasing of booked numbers)

  • 6-2 days before: 30%
  • day before: 50%
  • on the day: 100%

Backcountry tours must be booked in advance after consulting one of our reservations team. They will place you in a group with others with a similar ability and experience. Private tours can be customised to fit your needs.

To participate on a backcoutry tour you need to be at least a level 5 or above in the ability chart below.

Weather

We do Ski in the rain, snow, wind and any other weather conditions that nature decides to throw at us. After all, we’re going on adventures! If the weather is unsafe for any reason, the trip will be changed or postponed. You will be notified the week of your trip if there are changes due to weather.
