The recent storms have brought a welcomed dump of the white gold to Nozawa with the upper mountain receiving over 120cm of snow in 48 hours. After initial settling of the snow pack the base now stands at 100cm which means we are on track to start BC in early January (200cm base required). The forecast for the coming week is looking good, with more snow expected from Wednesday through to Saturday. A good local Nozawa weather site to check out is here:

The site is in Japanese but you can understand most parts by following the pictures and figures. Especially handy it the elevation separated wind and temperature forecasts. The top of Nozawa snow resort is 1650 meters (Mt Kenashi) and the bottom around 600m, so using this site you can check out conditions at each elevation to try and plan your day. It tends to me more accurate that the forecasts at Snow-forecast.com:
